Served communally round the large dining room table, breakfast is a relaxed and informal affair with individual orders and timings agreed the night before and guests are free to linger over toast and refills of coffee or tea as long as they wish.
Free-range eggs come from a local farm in nearby Weald and menus vary according to taste. Cereals, fresh fruit and juice are available on a help yourself basis and may be followed by a traditional farmhouse fry-up, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon or poached eggs, according to taste.
Locally produced English cheeses and continental breakfasts are of course available for guests with smaller appetites and all our bread is home-made, along with a large range of home-made marmalade and jams. As far as possible all ingredients are organic and locally sourced.
Vegetarian and special diets can generally be catered for provided sufficient notice is given.
